European rolling stock as well as wheels, axle guards, buffers and many items
that are hard to find.

Ozark Miniatures - You need parts to detail your engines, rolling stock
and custom made cars? Ozark has what you need. Ozark has over 700
detailing parts for your G scale projects, most of which you just can't get
anywhere else.

Springs Steam Models - Besides locomotives, Sulphur Springs carries many
of the supplies you will need to keep your engine running. Items such as
steam oil, pressure gauges, engine replacement parts, etc.

- Diamondhead Steam Up
- The premier event of the year for G Scale Live Steamers is the Diamondhead
Steam up held each January in Diamondhead, Mississippi. This week long
event brings over 300 live steams from all over the world to run locomotives,
discuss all aspects of the hobby and just relax with friends. Many
dealers are on had with the latest Locomotives and other Items for sale.
Manufactures reps pop in some times with new items as well. Then there
is the swap area which is like a big garage sale for Live Steam. A great
event that shouldn't be missed.

Garden Railways Magazine - Another great publication that covers all
aspects of G scale trains and garden railways. This magazine is more
general in its coverage of the G Scale hobby but it includes columns on Live
Steam, product reviews and good articles and information if your interested in
other aspects of G scale trains beside Live Steam.
- Large Scale OnLine
- This is another web site that is a community site. Discussion groups
and what sounds like a lot of good articles and other information.
Unfortunately much of it is only available for whose that have purchased a
membership. Since I don't have a membership I can not comment on the
overall content.
- MyLargeScale -
This web site is a community web site where everyone gets together to discuss
G Scale topics. They have a great forum where everything is broken down
into groups and that includes a very active Live Steam group. Have
questions or just want to see what others are doing, this is the place to be.
- Steam in the Garden
Magazine
- The premier magazine for the G scale enthusiast. If you only get one
magazine subscription for you Live Steam hobby, this is the magazine to get.
Give them a call or drop them an e-mail and ask about buying a copy of the
last edition. Once you read one edition, you'll want the subscription.
All the major steam up events are covered as well as how-to articles, product
reviews and lots of other good information.
Steam in the Garden is also known for its free swap area where you can buy and
sell Live Steam Locomotives and pats. They also have a forum area for
general discussion that is very popular.
