On the weekend of August 9th and 10th we had the fortune to be invited to participate in Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroads Railfans Weekend.

This was our first year attending this event and we would like to thank the Village for inviting us and the staff for their great hospitality.

We were blessed with two days of great weather.  Not enough sun to make it hot and no rain to drown us out.  We had eleven live steamers in attendance and more than twice as many live steam engines.

Crossroads Village is in a wonderful country park like setting with historic buildings to visit, working Cider, Lumber and Grist Mills, a Live Steam Paddle Boat and of course the Huckleberry Railroad and its 4-6-0 engine.

What more can you ask for than to ride an old Live Steam Locomotive, relaxing in period passenger cars and strolling through the town, historic buildings and Mills?  Running Live Steam Engines yourself, of course!
