January 22th - The 4th Annual Troy Model Train Show & Sale - (Confirmed Steamup)
Free parking, 150+ vendors, operating layouts and more.  Admission is $3 and children under 12 are free.

April 6th - Mid Michigan Model Train Show and Flea Market - (Confirmed Steamup)
11am - 4pm - Finch Fieldhouse on the campus of Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI

April 19th & 20th - 19th Annual Model Engineering Expo - North American Model Engineering Society (NAMES) - (Informational)
50,000 square feet of exhibits.  Model gasoline and hot air engines will also be operating.  Many suppliers of model engineering items will be present.  Bring the whole family for a wonderful day enjoying the model engineering hobby.  For additional information.
 
May 17th & 18th  - Durand Union Station, Durand Railroad Days - Durand, MI - (Confirmed Steamup)
This steamup is a great time at a wonderful old station and an event not to be missed.

The MSSLS group will be running on Saturday and Sunday from 10am - 4pm.

May 31st & June 1st  - Canterbury Village Steamup, Lake Orion, MI - (Confirmed Steamup)
This is a great event at a wonderful location with good shopping and food in an Old World Village like location.  This event has now become a bi-annual event for us and we look forward to it every year.  We will have both of our portable tracks setup in a large tent for all weather running.  If you can't make it to this one, mark the September event on your calendar.
Canterbury is located in Lake Orion, Michigan.  Just a few miles off of I-75 and just North of Great Lakes Crossing.

June  14th - Pine Ridge Lumber Company - Jenison, MI - (members in attendance)
Annual steamup at Robb & Cheryl Devries' home.  Permanent raised layout with steamup area and a portable raised track with 2 loops.  Contact Robb for additional details @  robbandcheryl@sbcglobal.net

June 28th & 29th - Login Cabin Days - Waterford Historical Society Park - Waterford, MI - (Confirmed Steamup)
Each day we will have 4 tracks of live steam engines running from 10am to 5pm.  Event Flyer  Photos of the park.

July  - Shay Days - Harbor Springs, MI  -  (Members in Attendance)
Great 3 day event celebrating the invention of the SHAY Locomotive on the property of the inventor.  If your into geared locomotives then you don't want to miss this steamup.  All Gauge One geared locomotives are welcome.  You can expect to see Shay, Heisler and Climax locomotives as well as many one of a kind, hand built engines.  Harbor Springs is a beautiful location and a wonderful place to spend a long weekend.
 
July 16th thru 20th - National Summer Steamup - Suburban Sacramento, CA - (Informational)
5 days and 4 nights, hundreds of feet of track, multiple layouts, workshops, exhibits and lots of other fun stuff.  Visit http://www.summersteamup.com for additional details.
 
July 31st thru August 3rd   - MSSLS Steamup & Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad's Railfans Weekend - Flint, MI - (Confirmed Steamup)
This is the big one!!  This is the premier event of the year for the MSSLS.  Four days of running live steam locomotives in 3 great locations.  Thursday the 31st, Bob & Mary Weltyk will host a steamup at his home in Waterford.  Friday the 1st, John & Bev Fuller will host a steamup at there home in Swartz Creek.  Then Saturday and Sunday our club will be hosting a steamup at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad.  Crossroads Village features a steam powered saw mill, cider mill and many other attractions.  Included in our event (for steamers) is an after hours ride, with photo drive bys of their live steam locomotives and a pot luck dinner in the round house.  If you want to make it up to Michigan for one of our events, this is definitely the event you want to be at!  This year will feature #464, one of the last running Mudhens, don't miss the ride!!

August 15th thru 17th & 22nd thru 24th - Day Out With Thomas - Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad - Flint, MI - (Informational)

September  - Tiny Train Days -  Steam Railroading Institute, Owosso, MI - (Informational)
A weekend celebration to close the Steam Railroading Institute's Summer Season featuring various model railroad layouts and live steam equipment.

September 13th & 14th - Canterbury Village Steamup - (Confirmed Steamup)
This is a great event at a wonderful location with good shopping and food in a village like location.  This is the second time we will be at this location this year and it will be a great time for everyone!
