04-05-2003

This was a one day demonstration, as part of a train swap meet, held at the Lincoln Square Mall in Urbana, IL, Home of the University of Illinois.  The portable track, with a new scenery section, was supplied by Ernie Noa.  A hand full of club members attended the event.  For some of them, it was the second year in a row.

There were about a dozen Live Steamers on hand and probably a thousand spectators who stopped by.  The kids loved to watch the engines and we were more than happy to oblige.  Just look at their faces!

Bob Weltyk's Accucraft K-27 was a big hit, as well as Tom Myers' Aster Flying Scotsman, Wayne Sorenson's Coffee Pot and Larry Herget's scratch built "O" Gauge Locomotive.
