January 17th – The 5th Annual Troy Model Train Show & Sale – (Confirmed Steamup)
10am to 3pm, Free parking, 150+ vendors, operating layouts and more.  Admission is $3 and children under 12 are free.

March 20th – Bluewater Train Show – (Confirmed Steamup)Bluewater Michigan Chapter, NRHS presents Railroadiana & Model Train Show at the Taylor Town Trade Center, 22525 Ecorse Road, Taylor Michigan.  Railroad collectibles, art work, model trains and operating trains. Admission $4, children under 12 free/$6 family/Early entry $10 before 10:30.  Show time 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
March 28th – Mid Michigan Model Train Show and Flea Market – (Confirmed Steamup)
11am – 4pm – Finch Fieldhouse on the campus of Central Michigan University, Mt. Pleasant, MI

June  19th – Pine Ridge Lumber Company – Jenison, MI – (Members in attendance)
Annual steamup at Robb & Cheryl Devries’ home.  Permanent raised layout with steamup area and a portable raised track with 2 loops.  Contact Robb for additional details @  [email protected]
June 26 & 27th – Log Cabin Days – Waterford Historical Society Park – Waterford, MI – (Confirmed Steamup)
Each day we will have 3 tracks of live steam engines running from 10am to 5pm.

August 7 & 8th – MSSLS Steamup & Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad’s Railfans Weekend – Flint, MI – (Confirmed Steamup)
This is the big one!!  This is the premier event of the year for the MSSLS.  Saturday and Sunday our club will be hosting a steamup at Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad.  Crossroads Village features a steam powered saw mill, cider mill and many other attractions.  Included in our event (for steamers) is an after hours ride, with photo drive bys of their live steam locomotives and a pot luck dinner in the round house.  If you want to make it up to Michigan for one of our events, this is definitely the event you want to be at!  This year once again will feature #464, one of the last running Mudhens, don’t miss the ride!!  Here are some pictures from this event.From Fred G.  http://picasaweb.google.com/chooch911/HuckleberryRailroad2010#

August 14th & 15th  – Canterbury Village Steamup – Lake Orion, MI – (Confirmed Steamup)
This is a great event at a wonderful location with good shopping and food in an Old World Village like location.  This event is one of the clubs favorites and we look forward to it every year.  We will have two portable tracks setup (clubs 3 track and Paul Kiss 2 track)  in a large tent for all weather running.  If you can’t make it to this one, you’ll be sorry.  Canterbury is located in Lake Orion, Michigan.  On Joslyn Rd., just a few miles north of I-75 and Great Lakes Crossing .  For more information on the Village visit:  http://canterburyvillage.com/From Bob Winkel  Canterbury Steamup Report

August 21st – Fourth Annual Lindley Summer Steamup – Livonia, MI – (Membership Only Steamup)
Who to bring: As always, spouses are specially invited. Please don’t leave them home.
What to bring: Of course, all small locomotives, especially geared locos, and anything you want to show off. If the club layout comes, bring everything you want to run.  What else to bring: Canopies if you have one and lawn chairs.  For additional information, please contact Will Lindley.  RSVP Required.
September 18th – The Port Huron & Detroit Railroad Historical Society – Port Huron, MI – (Club Membership and Guests Only)
The Port Huron & Detroit Railroad Historical Society has asked us if we would set up our track for a one day SteamUp with their members.Their location is the old PH&D RR Headquarters Building, adjacent to an old roundhouse, in the middle of a working wye, right along side of the main line into the Port Huron-Sarnia rail tunnel.  Trains passing all day.
